Sua primeira elei\u00e7\u00e3o para vereador ocorreu em 1992. Cumpriu quatro mandatos: 1993\/1996, 1997\/2000, 2005\/2008 e 2009\/2012. Foi presidente da C\u00e2mara nos bi\u00eanios 1997\/1998 e 2005\/2006.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Sua elei\u00e7\u00e3o como prefeito ocorreu em 2012, com 13.772 votos pelo Partido da Rep\u00fablica. N\u00e3o se reelegeu em 2016 e perdeu a disputa em 2020 para prefeito. N\u00e3o foi eleito para vereador em 2024.
